Funding Sources
Club Xcite only provides services through contracts with schools, Regional Centers, and non-profit organizations. Club Xcite is not considered a medical treatment, so we cannot accept insurance, and insurance will not reimburse families for services provided. If you wish to pay out-of-pocket for services, please email hmoyer@exciteway.com for a referral list.
There are several funding options to receive Club Xcite educational services:
1) Compensatory Education Funding
Compensatory education (comp-ed) funds are provided by the school district when an IEP or 504 plan is not fulfilling a student’s educational needs. These funds will pay for a student to receive educational support outside of school. The school district is typically directly billed for these services. Compensatory education funds are obtained by contacting your student’s IEP team or by requesting a due process hearing. This may require the assistance of an educational advocate or attorney. Club Xcite is happy to refer you to one of our recommended educational advocates or attorneys to assist you in obtaining compensatory educational funds for your child.
2) San Diego Regional Center
Club Xcite is partnered with the San Diego Regional Center’s Self-Determination Program and ACE FMS to provide no-cost services to students who qualify for Regional Center Services.
3) Charter School Learning Funds
Club Xcite is partnered with several charter schools in San Diego to provide services to students with charter school learning funds. We are always happy to contract with any new charter schools to provide services.
Club Xcite is a Non-Public Agency (NPA), meaning that a public, or charter school can contract with Club Xcite to provide services. Contact your school district special education department or IEP team to request our services.
