2009 Summer Programs
Summertime can be a great time for all children and teens including those with special needs (including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, bi-polar disorder, social anxieties, phobias, emotional or behavioral challenges), who often have limited opportunities to enjoy a typical summer camp experience.
For the last five years, ClubXcite has structured summer day camps specifically for these children. Our camps are small group environments with a 3-to-1 child-to-counselor ratio. We engage in all the fun activities that typical camps offer, but we adjust them for kids our campers who benefit from more personalized approach.
Additionally, we have created a "summer inclusion mentoring program". This program provides a one-on-one mentor to a child attending a mainstreamed summer camp. Our mentors naturally fit into the camp scene as a counselor, but are specifically there to support your child socially, help them make friends and make sure they have a great time.
Unique to our programs are our high quality mentors, most of whom are pursuing bachelors and advanced degrees in education or psychology and have many years of dedicated mentoring, coaching and teaching experience.
