Wes is currently working five days a week with two different students. He is enthusiastic and committed. Wes is gifted at connecting with every student he meets. He has a real knack for introducing great study techniques and organizational skills!
Education: The University of North Carolina (English); UNC-Greensboro (Master of Ed); the George Washington University (Doctor of Education - In Progress).
Experience: English Language Arts teacher (5 years); Adjunct Professor of Teacher Preparation (3 years); University Supervisor for Teaching Interns (2 years).
Hobbies & Skills: Reading, Writing, anything outside, especially: Surfing, Soccer, Running, Tennis, Hiking, Swimming, Plants, Camping.
Why ClubXcite? As an adolescent, I had many problems overcoming my ADHD and succeeding academically and socially. One of ClubXcite's missions is to mentor kids with these very problems. As a mentor with ClubXcite, I hope to do whatever I can to help those adolescents that may be experiencing the same problems I myself experienced. Sometimes all it takes is someone who understands what it's like.
